Maria Brink
Maria Brink, born December 18, 1977 is an American singer-songwriter from the United States. She is well-known for her work as the frontwoman for In This Moment. In This Moment released seven studio albums, and was awarded four nominations at the Alternative Press Music Awards. Additionally, Brink was named "Rock Goddess of the Year" and "Hottest Chick" in Metal in the fifth (2013) and fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards. Brink is one of the eleven women from heavy rock who matter to Yell! Revolver Magazine named Brink one of the "25 most hot girls in Hard Rock & Metal" in 2012. Brink moved to Los Angeles in 2002 at the age of 25 in search of a band. Prior to that she worked in retail and sang in coffee shops and bars. After an audition, she got to know Chris Howorth in 2004. Howorth was initially reluctant to sign up Brink as a singer due to the fact that she was a woman. Howorth apologized to Brink and then hired Brink as her vocalist two weeks later. The band was formed as Dying Star with drummer Jeff Fabb .They were later joined by guitarist Blake Bunzel and bassist Josh Newell. The group was later renamed In This Moment.
