Kelly Clarkson

KellyKelly Clarkson in her full Kelly Brianne Clarkson was an American performer and songwriter. She rose to fame after she took home American Idol's 2002 talent show. Clarkson grew up at Burleson, Texas, a suburb located in Fort Worth, where her vocal prowess was first recognized by the choir instructor at her school at the age of a seventh grader. Following graduation, Clarkson was transferred to Los Angeles, where she attempted unsuccessfully to get into the show business. When she returned to Texas Clarkson was an contestant in the inaugural season of American Idol, a show broadcast by the Fox Broadcasting Company. American Idol, a singing show that let the audience decide which singer they liked best. Clarkson's captivating voice, charisma and humor won over viewers. Clarkson was awarded $1 million as well as a recording contract in partnership with RCA to be her reward.
