Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. Paquin is a native of Canada and actress from New Zealand. She was born in Winnipeg however, she was raised in Wellington, she was the first actress to appear on screen in The Piano. In this romantic drama film at the age of 11, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress. Anna Paquin is full Anna Helene Paquin born on the 24th July 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian actress, and New Zealander who, when she was a child, won her first Academy Award in 1993 for the best actor supporting. When she answered an audition call to play the character, she got it as Flora McGrath, the daughter of an mute Scottish piano player who moved into New Zealand in mid-19th-century to get married. She was only nine and had no prior experience in acting. When she was in her teens, the actress moved to America. Paquin was the main character in the film Fly Away Home in 1996 and also had a small part as Jane Eyre as only a child. Paquin had a small role in the television movie of 1997 adaption of Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. The actress also played the Princess of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She was a teenager as teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) as well as A Walk on the Moon (1999) and played the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on the screen in Almost Famous (2000).
