Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She's written 15 books. She is also the co-founder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is an author and television host, as well as philanthropist as well as the founder and editor of The Huffington Post. When she moved from Greece to England from Greece at the age of 16 and obtaining an MA with a major in Economics from Cambridge University. As the first foreign student to serve as president of the highly regarded debate club The Cambridge Union, at 21, she was able to take on the role. Alongside this, she led the Detroit Project for efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Forbes named her the most powerful woman in the field of media in 2009. The newspaper was ranked as 12th on the listing. The Guardian also included her to the list of 100 most influential media in 2009. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as president of the media group that also includes the other AOL properties such as Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Her parents were Elli as well as Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, an expert in management and a journalist. Her character was formed by her closeness to her mother and her bond with her dad, despite being extremely close to him. Even during her formative years, she exhibited the qualities of a leader for which she is still well-known. Her move to England came at 16, to pursue her education and was enrolled into Girton College Cambridge. As a student, she joined the Cambridge Union, a college debate group.
